Our story
Hi there,
We are Lotte (Dutch) and Johan (Swedish). We met in Singapore and have lived here for almost 10 years. Our 2 daughters were born here and the brand is named after them.
With careers in shipping and banking, life became busy. Over time, Lotte began looking for a slower and more grounded way of living, and started looking for work where she could create a -perhaps smaller- but more visible kind of impact on the lives of people in South East Asia. The region where we met, got married and started our family.
Living far from home and spending our time between different countries — the Netherlands, Sweden and Singapore — has made us appreciate how important it is to create a home wherever you are. Mostly living in rentals, we realised we do not need designer kitchens or perfect wooden floors to feel at home. Small, well-chosen objects have the ability to shape a space and make it feel calm, personal and familiar. A cushion on a sofa, a basket in a corner, a textile on a chair — these are often the pieces that quietly bring warmth into a home.
Our first product drop consists of four collections of cushion covers. The cushions come from Bali, where we work directly with an independent maker producing in small batches. The workshop is female-owned and was founded in 2010. Around 25 artisans and staff work there, with several artisans working from their own homes, allowing them to combine work with family responsibilities.
Raw materials are sourced from Java and processed by hand in Bali using small-batch production methods. Fabrics are cut, stitched and finished locally, with careful attention to detail and durability. The focus is on good materials, consistent quality and products designed to last rather than follow short-term trends.
By buying from Anna Filippa, you directly support the owner of the workshop, her employees and their families. For us, this connection is an important part of the story behind each piece.
Anna Filippa brings together things we value: intentional and long-lasting products, support for independent makers, and thoughtful craftsmanship. Our aim is to connect small Asian workshops with homes around the world through carefully selected, small-batch products that combine Asian craftsmanship with European design influences.
Happy shopping!
